The 5th Annual GetRecD Golf for Leukemia Research

Thank You...
THANK YOU everyone for making the 2008 GetRecD Golf Tournament a HUGE success. We had 134 golfers participating and 200 individuals for dinner at the Richmond Hill Golf and Country Club. Participants enjoyed lively entertainment performed by the "Ronan's band", Miles Raine on Saxaphone and Chris Rouse, vocalist. Each guest was handed a green balloon which represented a wish for Ryan, and all 200 balloons were released at one time, in memory and honour of the late Ryan Daly. The Ryan Daly foundation logo was also unveiled by Ryan's friend and designer, Darrin Moss of KLICK Interactive.
We raised $18,000 from the 2008 GetRecD Golf Tournament and donations are still coming in. In the past 5 years,GetRecD has donated over $37,000 to leukemia research. CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU. We will update this site as donations keep coming in.
The 2009 GetRecD golf tournament date has already been booked so mark it in your calendars.....Saturday August 15th, 2009 at the Richmond Hill Golf & Country Club.
The GetRecD Dodge Ball Tournament will also be taking place in the Winter of 2009.....updates shortly. Check back to this site for more information.
As stated by Laura Daly, President of GetRecD Events, at the dinner ceremony..."I am not going to stand here and say that we are here to raise awareness. Raising awareness is just a minor thing, people usually say.."Oh that's interesting" and don't act on it. I am here to inspire and motivate each and everyone of you to support us in our mission to find a prevention and cure for leukemia while supporting leukemia patients who need financial assistance during their battles."
"I want to ensure that my son and our next generation, never have to endure the pain that we have had to by losing a loved one and watching his friends battle the same disease. It's time we find out what we are doing to our environment, what we are doing to ourselves. We can control this and as Princess Margaret states "We will conquer cancer in our lifetime."
Please remember the Ryan Daly Foundation and join us in our mission to find a prevention and cure for Leukemia.
